JIM SHAFER – (bass guitar and vocals) – performing in touring stage bands since the age of fourteen and behind the microphone at radio stations all over the country for many years has given Jim much experience to bring to the Band of Gold. He has shared the stage with countless national recording acts, and loves the classic Motown sound. Jims’ career has been in broadcasting, and he is an in-demand commercial voice and on camera talent for many businesses. Jim also hosts the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon in Charlotte, and is involved in many different charitable causes.
.ROCCO CEFALO- (keyboards and vocals) This talented musician hails from South Jersey and brings with him a big dose of Northern Soul! As the Band Of Golds’ music director, Rocco arranges all the songs and puts the show together…… You’ll love the great sounds of the Hammond organ under Rocco’s hands and his great vocal ability and sparkling stage personality make Rocco a crowd favorite!!!!
BO BAITY –(lead guitar and vocals) – This multi-talented musician from Cherryville, NC brings a great guitar sound and a fine singing voice to the group……from country to soul , Bo can sing and play it all! An accomplished record producer and arranger, he has many successful albums on his resume’, and has appeared with many national acts.
LYNN SAMPLES –(Drums and vocals) This road tour veteran brings a great resume’ with him…..as the foundation for legendary Carolina group Sugarcreek in the 80’s, then drumming for the great variety band Too Much Sylvia in the 90’s, Lynn has a ton of experience, including being on StarSearch, 5 albums and many national tours. His musicianship extends far beyond the drum kit, with a great singing voice, and lots of input in the arrangement of the songs in the groups’ setlist.
DOUG DAVIS – ( vocals, guitar and percussion) This Orlando, Florida native cut his performing chops in church, then with a 14 piece variety showband that performed at corporate functions and venues throughout Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, Australia, Canada, South America and all 50 states! He also has much experience in tv and event production, and many hours behind a mixing board as a producer of numerous recording projects. Doug brings a great lead voice to the band and with a wireless mike, he’ll be out in the crowd all night long!!!!
